Hi, my name is Capt. Gene Patena:

Everyone calls me Geno.  Let me be your guide to fun-in-the sun on Lake Erie's shimmering waters and offer you a chance to match wits with Ohio's famous game fish.  I want to hear you yell  "GET THE NET", "GET THE NET" over and over again.  My associates and I will make every effort to make your day enjoyable and successful; whether it's relaxing on Lake Erie or enjoying action packed fishing.  Each trip is tailored to meet your needs and fishing experience.  I make it a point to go the extra mile!  So, give me a call.

About the Boat - Reel Time

The "Reel Time" is built for the rigors of the great lakes charter fishing industry. The boat is built with the serious fisherman in mind that has a family who enjoys a comfortable on-board experience. "Reel Time" is a custom made 30 foot Cherokee hardtop sport fish boat with a 11.5 foot beam, twin fuel injected 300 H.P. engines that can speed quickly and safely to our fishing destinations. Its cockpit is 32 inches deep with the floor located at the waterline because stability and safety are of prime importance. "Reel Time" boasts a 6 foot 5 inch standing height under the huge hardtop which will insure you will be warm, dry and shaded from the sun. There is seating for nine (9) including a dinette table, It is equipped with a bow seat for rod in hand drift fishing action. The hull construction is said to be nine times stronger than a fiberglass counterpart. It is a United States Coast Guard documented vessel and is one of only three others operating on Lake Erie.

We're just 5 minutes from the famous Cedar Point Amusement Park and 15 minutes from Kalahari Resorts.  Many of our customers enjoy fishing a half day and then visit the resorts in the afternoon or evening. 

  Charter Policy

• Charters are a full 8, 6, or 5 hours dock to dock. Trips may be extended.
• A $ 100.00 deposit is required for reservations.  Payment may be made by cash or check.  Checks payable to Capt. Gene Patena, 839 Curran Street, Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
• You may also pay by using our secure Pay Pal option

• Remainder settlement may be made by cash, check or money order.
• Cancellations made 14 days in advance will receive a full refund.  Cancellations due to weather conditions or any other reason is at the captains discretion.  In such an event another date will be offered or a full deposit refund may be given.
• Fishing charters normally leave the dock at 7 a.m., however other prior arrangements can be made to suit your schedule.
• To drift fish, troll or both is "your choice".
• Recommend contact with each other on the day before the charter for the purpose of checking weather conditions and any other final details.
• Illegal drugs are not permitted onboard.
